Ice Idanan is a multi-awarded director and cinematographer who has a wealth of experience in films, television and digital commercials. After graduating with honors from the University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) in 2009, she became a Cinematography fellow at the Asian Film Academy (AFA) – of the 15th Pusan International Film Festival 2010 in South Korea and was a Directing fellow in the Berlinale Talent Campus – of the Berlin International Film Festival 2012 in Germany.

Her debut feature film, SAKALING HINDI MAKARATING (The Amazing Journey of Letters) was a crowd favorite at the 2016 Cine Filipino Film Festival where she won 7 out of 10 awards including Best Director, Best Cinematographer and 1st Runner Up for Best Film. For the same film, Ice was granted the Best Indie Cinematographer of the Year Award by the PMPC Star Awards for Movies in 2017. In 2018 the same film won the International Category Excellence Award at the Asia Tourism-Induced Film & TV Arts Week in Taizhou, China.

Her other films (STRANDED, CARA X JAGGER) can be seen on Netflix Philippines, as well as her recent feature HAPPY TIMES, which premiered on Upstream.ph. Her work for corporate and commercial videos have organically reached millions of viewers in video sharing platforms such as Youtube and Facebook, to name a few.

This year, Ice was inducted as a member of the esteemed Director’s Guild of Philippines (DGPI) which houses the Philippines’ top, critically acclaimed directors for film, TV and advertising.

Ice’s greatest hero is her mother, who has influenced her passion to tell important stories that champion women as modern heroines and agents of change. đŸ™‚
